Humor Break: Elizabeth Warren Parody is Spot-On

Oct 12, 2011

We've long been fans of Elizabeth Warren's work. Back in 2009, New Deal 2.0 interviewed her about the link between women and bankruptcy rates. For the Roosevelt Institute's Make Markets Be Markets conference, she wrote a fantastic chapter on the need for consumer protection.

And everything she's done to fight for consumers has been with straight forward honesty and a folksy Oklahoma charm. Whoever the actress is in the video below, she gets both qualities spot-on. While one can hardly imagine the real life Elizabeth Warren using profanity (and a warning, this video has bleeped out expletives and pixelated obscene gestures), there's no doubt that it captures the essence of her roll-up-my-sleeves mentality and ends up making a solid case for in her life's work of fighting on behalf of everyday Americans.

Perhaps the best line: "I am Elizabeth Warren, and I will fix this #*@! myself if I have to." Enjoy.
